oh, my!
it's been ages since i posted here.
it's been a strange year to say the least.
but with 2011 upon us, i wanted to share
the biggest news of my life so far...
I'M GOING TO HAVE A BABY!!!
i won't go into details in this jorjah-b post.
but if you want the details, you can read about it here.
however, i will say this.
i plan to resume my love of blogging here on jorjah-b
{golly, i've missed posting here!},
and things will probably look a lot different
than they used to look around here...
a LOT more baby-related posts,
like sharing the fun baby nursery finds
and plans that i have for designing
and decorating this little one's new space.
perhaps some maternity and baby fashion posts...
something i never though i'd have the opportunity
to blog about from a personal standpoint!
i'll still blog about the typical things
that i have blogged in the past...
design, photography, interiors, furniture,
fashion, food, paper/print.
even some personal stuff.
{although most of that is reserved
for my photo/journal blog.}
anyway, i just wanted to say...
I'M BACK!
and so excited to be so.
and i can't wait to share with all of you
the things that will be inspiring
and exciting me over the new year to come.
starting with... a few furniture pieces i recently found
at a local home interiors boutique called urbanest.

i'm really drawn to a lot of their furniture.
{the above four are all from the
some of these pieces i could so see in the baby's room.
but i've even included one non-nursery piece
as well as pieces that could serve a dual purpose...
both in the nursery or somewhere else in the house.
- winter forest chest {i'm doing a bird theme in the nursery for sure, so i could definitely see this in there... but the only negative is that it has a seasonal theme. UNLESS... i make it work by doing a four-seasons bird theme, no?}
- vodak chest {oh, goodness! i am so enthralled with this very art deco inspired piece! anyone who knows me knows how much i love art deco! i've never seen an art deco nursery before, so this would definitely be an original direction to take with the nursery. i'd do something like "art deco meets sweet vintage"... and still keep the bird theme somehow! couldn't you see this holding all kinds of precious baby items?}
- holmes chest {this is such a lovely solid piece. like the pieces above, it could work anywhere in the home. but i like the idea of storing lots of little baby items in this... in a very organic-themed nursery. great storage solution!}
- carrie table {okay... not so much for a nursery, i guess. but i LOVE this piece. any kind of mirrored furniture... i'm all over it! i'll take one for my living room, please.}
...
well, this is just a quick update before 2010 wraps up.
but i will be back with some new year wishes and thoughts.
and i will try my best to write here
much more consistently in 2011...
i've got so very much to catch up on!
i'm excited to share my plans with you all
and i hope you enjoy the little journey with me!
hugs from a long-lost blogger...
