Jorjah-Love + Jorjah-Inspire + Jorjah-Sit

{chair photo via apartment therapy}

remember my list of six little things i love
that i posted a few days ago?
{or was it six little things that make me happy?}
if so, you will remember that one of those things was
"vintage or retro chairs"
or was it
"retro or vintage chairs"
?
oh, i guess it does not matter.
{good thing, 'cause my memory is shot
these last couple of days}

the point is i love them!
and i don't just love chairs.
i mean, let's face it—most chairs are not little.
even little chairs are not little.
the part about loving old chairs that made it
into
a list of little things i love
is that i don't only love vintage chairs themselves.
i love just seeing the chairs.
they don't even have to be mine.
just a photo or an ad or a blog post
that i see about them makes me happy.

seriously.
i get so inspired by them.

which is why i've recently come to learn
the art of bookmarking.

if you are like me, you would see so many
beautiful
and inspiring things all over blogs
and on the internet in general.

but then you would forget where you found things
and they would become a distant memory.

but anything having to do with chairs?
that's a different story for me.

every single time i see a chair i love online,
i lock that baby into my memory for good.
still, i need to start to learn
to bookmark things more often.

{i mean, who am i kidding about my memory?
see first paragraph *wink*}

so all my visual inspirations today were via a page
that i bookmarked with in the last few months.

i used to collect miniature chairs.
or anything chairs.
greeting cards,
postcards,
i even had a little necklace charm that was a chair.
then i moved out on my own
and i started collecting the real thing.

really.
i have far more chairs than one needs in my house.
i even started buying them for other people,
because if i saw some great vintage chairs
at a price that was too good to pass up,
i just bought them in hopes
that someone i know could use them.

{see this post}

anyway, have you seen these great miniature chairs
from moma {museum of modern art}?

i'd love them all, but the cost of just one
of most of these lovelies

is more than all of my furniture put together!
{i have a lot of garage sale, hand-me-down,
thrift store and antique furniture}

i saw some similar miniature chairs
{only much less expensive} many years ago

at a fabulous store in chicago called art effect.
i was pretty sure right then and there
that i wanted every one.

i probably would have bought at least a couple,
but their packaging gimmick was that you did not know
which chair you were going to get with each purchase.
the box did give away what chair was inside.
i was afraid i would get doubles—
and of a chair i did not like as much.

okay, enough chitter chatter.
on with the chair images.
i hope you enjoy.
if you like old chairs as much as i do, you will.

i love this flickr photo of a vintage
or new-made-to-look-vintage chair.

when i saw this pair of chairs,
i absolutely swooned over them!

so i had to bookmark them for sure.
{from rock blox by suzanna anna via den-10 studio}

here's another pair i drooled over.
{via manilla made}

okay, are you in love yet?
here's one more uber-fabulous vintage chair
that i recently found on etsy
from a shop called fabulous mess.

i can not say how much i want this chair!
check out the rest of the chairs at this etsy site.
there are some really gorgeous pieces there.

alright . . . that will do for one day.
i have plenty more where these came from,
so i 'll be sure to do more chair inspiration posts!
had enough for today?
feeling inspired?
i hope so.

are you a chair fanatic like me?
what is your favorite site for chair inspiration?

if you are ever looking to buy
some fabulous vintage chairs,
check out jenny's "craig's list friday"
or "craig's list saturday" posts
on her blog fancy pants design.
it's a wonderful resource for the shopper
and the inspiration-seeker alike.

my best friend is coming over at noon today
to model some of my vintage things
so that i can take pictures
and get them up on my etsy site.

i had just one thing on there
from the time i opened it on sunday

to yesterday morning—but now it's gone.
guess who bought the vintage pin i had up there.
my sister . . . what a gal!
i can be sure that if my etsy shop doesn't take off,
she will be my number one supporter and customer!
{thanks, angel!}

Love this post! Last weekend I bought a chair at a garage sale for $8. I can't wait to paint it white and put a bold fabric on the seat!

I don't know how I missed your post featuring my bike prints, but thank you so much!!

I will go mark you as a favorite seller on my etsy, yesterday I added your site to my favorite roll that way I could find it easily.

Thank you the nice long comment on my page, it is always nice to see one from you. I find your words always kind and somehow always what I want and need to hear on the post.

I am trying to edit more photos, and even put ones out there I do not like. I figure I can not get any better, or expect to take an awesome photo in one click ya know?

I love these old chairs, there is this gal in my blogroll-Joy to the Home, she just did a post on her patio re do, she has TONS of retro chairs on it, she painted them all red and yellow. She said she is in the process of re-doing them. Sooo not that you do not have enough to read, or to do. Get bored..check her out.

Oh and on my job, I was a Branch Mngr of Loan place, since I was 21 been working in the Banking field. Even though I pretty much detest numbers, just got into and good money. When we moved here I choose to finally take the leap of not working, or working part time and go to school full time. So I am a full time student, pursing my degree of Education/Pyschology(bach in pysch, master in Edu) that way I can teach and be a counselor for children who grow up in enviorments I did. Really help them....so for work I do freelancing with a travel group. Which sounds fancy, but really I am just an adult babysitter, go on trips with the clients, make sure everything goes smoothly and they get home safely. Easy as pie, that is like once a month. So I was a bagger at the Commissary, base grocery store. They make tips only, so was good till this summer.

Then for the job I am taking about, that is a dream job, goes with my degree and can show even more of an ability to support my sisblings....Child Delevopment Center.

Sooo that is it in a nutshell, well not really...just fyi I talk like I type...LOOOOOOTS!=)

Again thank you for that comment, let me KNOW if you want anything from Europe. I can look for stuff to send to you, or if you want something you loved while you traveled here. Keep that pretty smile on your face, that strong faith up top, and look towards the future. I feel in your case it will be spectacular.

Okay my comment novel is done.

I've been wanting that set (or at least a few of them) of chairs for a long time! They are so cute! In fact, I want to find some (affordable) to place in my daughter's doll house we are building for her! She is going to have the COOLEST, modern doll house ever!

love it! I am obsessed with seating in general - have too much of it in my house, but I can't turn down potential beauties :) I have been bookmarking like a mad woman over the past couple years - it needs some serious cleaning out and organizing. like that is gonna happen!

Thanks for all the beautiful images - I totally get you :)
